HOLIDAY ALBUM-RELEASE SHOW + SINGALONG WITH THE PINKERTON RAID at 12PM, SAT, DEC 7 in the RIVER AMPHITHEATER

Durham’s The Pinkerton Raid has a new Christmas(ish) album out this year, JAGGED VACANCE: Winter Songs by Other People, featuring timeless songs from Bon Iver, The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Elvis Presley, John Lennon & Yoko Ono, The Pogues, Counting Crows, Fleet Foxes and Paul Simon. For years, singer-songwriter Jesse James DeConto has been leading these tunes at his annual SONGS FOR HUMANS holiday singalong at Fullsteam Brewery. This year, the band will bring them to the Haw River Ballroom outdoor amphitheater for a concert and singalong coinciding with the Saxapahaw Holiday Market. The outdoor show will start at 12 noon on Saturday, December 7. They’ll bring lyric books for you to sing along and will take some requests. They may mix in some original songs for good measure. Donations will be accepted to support the musicians.
